Feeling guilty

I apologize for not updating for a few days, I came down with a bad cold and mostly just stayed in bed when I wasn't stuck at work.

I also felt a bit guilty about how I was eating all week. I was doing great for the past month until mom and I decided to go to Ihop for dinner late one night. I had been dying to try those strawberry cheesecake pancakes for months now so I decided to try them, big mistake before I knew it I was eating pizza for the next two days and there was an open bag of candy at work that I kept putting my hands into. I don't know why I do this to myself I can't just eat one bad thing I have to practically overdose on food.

I looked at the scale (just two days before my normal weigh day) and it shows that I went up 2 lbs not surprised but I was secretly hoping that I didn't do as badly as I thought but I was wrong. Oh well it's a new week now and I plan to lose that 2 lbs and maybe a pound or so more!

Dear customers

Dear Customers...CVS and etc

If you are looking around the store confused and an employee asks you if you need help just ask, there aren't that many questions we consider weird so don't stand  there going "uh um uh um do you have anything for ....." you are keeping us from getting our tasks done and nobody is going to make fun of you if you have hemorrhoids...at least not to your face :)

My favorite sandwich

I eat this sandwich several times a week, it's so good. I didn't get it from a recipe it just came into my mind to try this out:

2 slices of whole wheat bread
1 slice of fat free or low fat Kraft singles American Cheese
3 ot 6 slices of Oscar Meyer Deli Fresh Chicken Breast (any flavor)
avocado instead of mayo or mustard
any type of lettuce (I use a spring mix from a store brand bag)

I'm not going to post the nutritional info because everyone might want to make it a different way and I tend to overdo it with the avocado ;)

These are a few of my favorite things:

I found a few items along my travels that I'd like to share with everyone:

While on one of my many shopping trips to my local Target I stumbled upon this baby, it's a two layer water bottle which holds 24 oz (they have different sizes as well but I believe this was the biggest) what I love about this bottle is that because it has two layers you'll never get any condensation all over your desk or in your workout bag. It also has a built in straw that is tucked under the cap until you turn it and it pops out which I find helps me get my fluids in much faster.  You can also find this bottle on www.amazon.com and I'm sure some other stores but so far I've only seen it at Target.

Yesterday I mentioned my new favorite website to buy my K cups from: www.bigcatcoffees.com as part of my variety pack I ordered the Gloria Jean Mango Tea. It's very good, not weak at all but not overly sweet, one packet of splenda was good enough. It has a very nice aroma to it and it's a great tea to have on a cold day or night. I may be wrong but I do believe it contains caffeine so if you're sensitive be careful drinking this at night.

If you're anything like me and hate exercising you might enjoy this. You choose from a selection of songs (most are of the original artists) and a character will come on the screen and you have to mimic their dance moves and you score points by accuracy. It's a blast! I sweat more playing this game than I did using my elliptical machine and it was alot more fun too. The only thing I wasn't fond of was that you can't just playing continuasly, when the song is over you have to choose another song. Next month Just Dance 2 will be available with a "Just Sweat" mode that does just that so we can burn off more calories without having to stop. It's a great game to have you can get it just about everywhere that sells video games.  I got mine at Best Buy.

Wake up and smell the ...

Ok so if you're anything like me you have to start your day with a perfect cup of coffee or 2 or 3.  If you're not acquainted with the Keurig coffee system it's an amazing machine, we got one about a year ago and then my boss got us one for the office @ work for Christmas (best present ever) Imagine having a great cup of coffee quicker than you can order at Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. Now if I could figure out how to make the perfect iced coffee I wouldn't have to go to Dunkers to begin with.

I like to try several different flavors and if you're anything like me you wouldn't want to waste money on a whole box that you haven't tried yet so I asked around both on Weight Watchers and a Tivo site (another awesome machine) and got suggestions to try www.bigcatcoffees.com

You can build your own variety box with any flavors of coffee and tea that you want. I'm very impressed with their service, I was willing to spend a little extra for faster shipping so I chose 3 day. After completing my order I saw that their business is located in NH which is pretty darn close to me here in MA, within an hour of my order being confirmed I got a call from their office telling me that because I'm so close I'd get one day shipping so she credited my account for the extra I spent on it. Wonderful customer service especially on a Sunday afternoon.

My order arrived yesterday and I was excited to see that I got a free random K cup and a couple pieces of candy along with it! The candy was delish too, it was a piece of hard candy made of green tea with citrus that tasted like a cup of iced tea! I'll be ordering some with my next order for sure. The brand was Fusion Gourmet as seen here. Check out their site at www.fusiongourmet.com

Long story short I'll be ordering from www.bigcatcoffees.com from now on.

Well hello there...

After reading a fellow WWer's (that's Weight Watcher for all who aren't down with the lingo) blog I got inspired to write my own. I think this will be a great tool to keeping myself as well as others motivated to get to our goals.

Not only will I be sharing info about my own weight loss but I'll be reviewing new products that catch my eye along the way.
